I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Northeastern University, advised by Prof. Christo Wilson. My research revolves around Security and Privacy, Internet Measurement, Platform Auditing, and AI Safety. I measure and audit websites, internet infrastructure, and generative AI systems to detect and mitigate privacy risks (e.g., covert tracking and data flows) and safety risks (e.g., misuse of AI systems to harm others). Through my research, I aim to build generalizable measurement techniques and privacy-preserving tools, and to produce evidence that informs policies. Ultimately, my goal is to make the web ecosystem and AI systems more transparent, privacy-compliant, and accountable to their users, especially those most at risk.
During my undergrad and masters at University of California, San Diego, I examined how personal information is collected and transmitted across the internet, advised by Prof. Alex C. Snoeren and mentored by Dr. Alisha Ukani, within the SysNet lab. My research earned an Honorable Mention for the Masters Award for Excellence in Research, one of two given department-wide. I first used empirical measurement for security and privacy research when I was selected for the Early Research Scholars Program.
